International Exhibitions (Large Enterprises)
Funds Latvian large enterprises with assistance for planning and executing participation in international exhibitions.
The International Exhibitions (Large Enterprises) programme is a LIAA co-financing instrument that reimburses the costs of organising international trade exhibitions in Latvia. The governing regulation is Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 763 of 16 December 2025. Call 1 for the 2026 programme year was announced on 24 February 2026, with a dedicated budget of €500,000 and eligible activities covering events that took place between 1 January and 30 June 2026. The maximum award per exhibition is €100,000, with the precise amount determined on a tiered scale according to the number of foreign participants attending. Support intensity is 60% for activities classified as de minimis aid and 85% for non-commercial activities.
To qualify, an exhibition must run for a minimum of two days, attract at least 500 foreign visitors or participants, and draw attendees from at least four countries. Eligible applicants include large commercial enterprises, state and municipal enterprises, municipalities, associations and foundations, Special Economic Zones, port authorities, planning regions, and scientific institutions registered in Latvia. Individuals and unregistered entities are excluded. Payment requests must be submitted within three months of event completion.
Because the eligible activity window for Call 1 ran through 30 June 2026, this call has closed for new event applications. Organisations planning international exhibitions in Latvia for the second half of 2026 should track Call 2, which covers activities from 1 July to 31 October 2026 and opens 1 July 2026 with an equivalent €500,000 budget. Applications are submitted via business.gov.lv and the process is conducted in Latvian.
Co-financing of up to €100,000 per international exhibition organised in Latvia by large enterprises or public-sector bodies, covering January–June 2026 events.
