Pymex is the small and medium enterprise financing window of Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior, S.N.C. (Bancomext), Mexico's state-owned export development bank founded in 1937 and supervised by the Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público (SHCP). Bancomext's core mission is to finance Mexican foreign trade and contribute to job creation by improving the global competitiveness of Mexican enterprises. The Pymex window specifically targets SMEs directly or indirectly engaged in foreign trade, or SMEs generating foreign-currency income, and is branded with the tagline "Financiamiento para mejorar la competitividad global de tu empresa."

Pymex offers four categories of credit: working capital (Capital de Trabajo), equipment financing (Equipamiento), investment project loans (Proyectos de Inversión), and letters of credit (Cartas de Crédito). Both Mexican Peso (MXN) and US Dollar (USD) denominated facilities are available, with USD facilities common for exporters whose revenue is USD-denominated. Specific interest rates, loan ceilings, and repayment terms are not published; they are determined bilaterally between Bancomext and each borrower based on the company's creditworthiness, export profile, and the specific project being financed. Sectors such as manufacturing, aerospace, and transport/logistics feature heavily in Bancomext's strategic focus.

This is a debt instrument, not a grant. Pymex is an open-intake, rolling credit product with no fixed competitive deadline or call for proposals. Mexican SMEs engaged in or supporting foreign trade activities can apply via the Cuestionario Pymex online questionnaire on the Bancomext website, by email at bancomext@bancomext.gob.mx, or by calling 800 EXPORTA (800 397-6782). Large companies seeking direct engagement above USD 3 million are directed to the separate Empresas window; smaller companies below that threshold may also be referred to commercial bank intermediaries operating with Bancomext credit lines.

Offers concessional working capital, equipment, and project-finance credit lines to Mexican small and medium enterprises directly or indirectly engaged in foreign trade or foreign-currency-generating activities.
