Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior, S.N.C. (Bancomext) is Mexico's state-owned foreign-trade development bank, supervised by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and founded in 1937. Its mandate is to support development and employment in Mexico through financing Mexican foreign trade, with a focus on exporters, importers, and firms that generate foreign currency.

Bancomext works through direct credit, guarantees, factoring, and fiduciary services, and its business lines include PYMEX for SMEs, Empresas for corporate clients, Mercados Financieros, and Servicios Fiduciarios. The bank concentrates on aerospace, automotive, electrical-electronic, energy, maquila, mining-metallurgical, telecommunications, transport and logistics, and tourism, with direct corporate engagement typically starting above about US$3 million.

It operates as a bilateral lender rather than a grantmaker, so financing is negotiated case by case instead of through public calls. Typical uses include working capital, equipment, investment projects, export factoring, letters of credit, and export guarantees. For companies that need trade finance or foreign-currency support, Bancomext is one of Mexico's core development finance channels.
