Frontier Offtake Track

Funds companies scaling carbon removal technologies through Frontier offtake agreements.

OpenStripe, Inc.GlobalDeep-tech · core fit

Stripe's Frontier initiative administers the Offtake Track as a larger purchase agreement route for carbon removal suppliers preparing to scale. The official page describes offtakes as legally binding contracts to buy future carbon removal tons at an agreed-upon price if and when delivered, with approximate purchase amounts of USD 10 million to USD 50 million.

The track is for companies that have moved beyond early proof of concept: the captured facts say suppliers should be developing technology validated at small pilot scale in real-world conditions, using robust MRV, and able to deliver meaningful removal volume within five years. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and the source states there is no deadline, but applicants are encouraged to submit expressions of interest early.

Permanent carbon removal pathways including biomass carbon removal and storage, direct air capture, enhanced weathering, marine carbon removal and mineralization.
