Looking for biological, chemical, mechanical or other novel methods to cut sulfate levels in water discharged from U.S. Steel's Keetac iron-ore plant in Minnesota, down to strict permit limits of 14 mg/L monthly average and 24 mg/L daily maximum. Solutions must keep working continuously in cold climates (down to -60F) and hold down capital and operating costs, and Technology Readiness Levels 1 through 6 are all accepted.
