In scope: excellent investigator-led research across the breadth of BBSRC’s remit; curiosity-led research; non-hypothesis driven data-driven, discovery-led projects; technology development projects; and multidisciplinary work crossing into other research council areas where the primary focus falls within BBSRC’s remit. Investigations within and across scales from molecules and cells to tissues, whole organisms, populations, and landscapes are supported. Work near remit boundaries may be assessed by the most appropriate lead council.
