Quadrant-i Startup Launch is a specialized track within Georgia Tech's CREATE-X Startup Launch program, operated in collaboration with Quadrant-i and designed specifically for Georgia Tech faculty, graduate students, and researchers who are commercializing funded research from a Georgia Tech laboratory. Unlike the standard CREATE-X track, the Quadrant-i track provides a $10,000 commercialization grant per team in addition to $150,000 in in-kind services — but the cash grant is conditional: the project must originate from funded research conducted within a Georgia Tech lab. Teams bringing their own intellectual property not derived from a GT lab may still participate in the program but do not qualify for the $10,000 grant.

In-kind support, valued at $150,000, includes mentorship from Quadrant-i leadership, legal incorporation, accounting and tax compliance, co-working space, and presentation at Demo Day to an audience of more than 1,500 investors and industry professionals. In-person participation is mandatory; remote participation is not accepted for any team in the program. The program follows the same 12-week summer schedule as CREATE-X Startup Launch, culminating in Demo Day. The CREATE-X portfolio as a whole has produced 600+ startups with a total valuation exceeding $2.4 billion since 2014, including companies such as Sila Nanotechnologies and Guide Therapeutics.

The 2026 Quadrant-i cohort closed at capacity with a waitlist. The 2027 cycle is the upcoming intake. Applications are submitted via the same Airtable form used for CREATE-X Startup Launch on the Georgia Tech CREATE-X website. Competitive applicants should clearly document the Georgia Tech lab from which the technology originates and provide evidence of the funded-research basis, as this is the key differentiator for the $10,000 cash award.
