The Workforce Innovations for a New Nevada (WINN) program is Nevada's primary state-level workforce training grant initiative, described by GOED as the first workforce development training program of its kind in Nevada. Administered by the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED), WINN is coordinated with the Nevada System of Higher Education, the Governor's Office of Workforce Innovation, the Department of Employment Training and Rehabilitation, and the Nevada Department of Education. The program funds industry-led employer consortia and community colleges to build skilled-worker pipelines in sectors including logistics, nursing, mining, manufacturing, and automotive and diesel technology.

WINN operates on an annual appropriation and award cycle. Recent awards document a consistent funding pattern: $6 million supporting ten workforce development programs in June 2023; $1.1 million for manufacturing and auto/diesel programs at community colleges in May 2024; $1.7 million for logistics, nursing, and mining training in July 2024; and $2.7 million approved for industry-led training in August 2025. Specific award sizes per program are not disclosed, and the 2026 open-call deadline had not been posted on the GOED site as of May 2026.

WINN is best suited to employer consortia, community colleges, and workforce intermediaries operating in Nevada's high-demand trade and technical sectors. Applicants should monitor the GOED workforce development page for the annual open-call announcement and engage GOED early given the program's competitive, consortium-led model.
