RTX Corporation — the defense and aerospace conglomerate comprising Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon — operates a corporate charitable giving program rather than a venture arm under the "RTX Ventures" brand. The philanthropic program is anchored by the Connect Up initiative, a USD 500 million, ten-year social impact commitment announced in April 2021 under the prior Raytheon Technologies name and continuing through 2031. Connect Up is structured around three pillars: lifelong learning (STEM skills development and career-ready talent pipeline), honoring service (veterans' transition, military family programs, and STEM for military children), and community resilience (food security, disaster relief, community infrastructure, and conservation).

Funding is open to permanent, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations or international equivalents. Applications are submitted through RTX's Versaic-powered charitable giving portal. Two tracks exist: preapproved partner grants (with an RTX-issued access code, open approximately February through October 20) and unsolicited applications for the following calendar year (open June 1 to July 31 annually). Grants above USD 50,000 require a countersigned donation agreement with RTX's CSR team. Recipients must register with the Benevity Causes Portal and, for organizations that have previously received USD 50,000 or more from RTX, provide Impact Genome-verified outcome data. RTX also offers volunteer grants of up to USD 5,000 for employee-supported organizations and over USD 20 million annually in employee matching gifts via Benevity.

The program explicitly excludes private foundations, individuals, political organizations, faith-based organizations (for religious purposes), sports events, and organizations where more than 50% of the financial benefit accrues to RTX. Think tanks and research institutions with public-access results are eligible. The program's STEM, workforce, and veterans focus creates the strongest fit for nonprofits and educational institutions with demonstrable community impact in those areas and an existing or prospective RTX employee connection.
