Organized by Buildner with the City of Vancouver and UBC's School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, the competition asks entrants to submit a design proposal that a jury of architects and design professionals reviews anonymously, without knowing whether a submission comes from a licensed architect, a student or anyone else. Open to architects, designers, planners, landscape architects and other creative thinkers worldwide, entering individually or in teams of up to four, with no professional qualification required. Entries must explore innovative approaches to tall buildings within Vancouver's downtown core, addressing height, density, public benefit and quality of life as part of the city's Higher Buildings Policy Review.
