Tiny House 2026

Awards $2,500 for the best Tiny House design in an open international competition.

Entrants register and pay an entry fee (lower for early registration, higher afterward, and priced differently for participants based in India versus elsewhere), then design and submit a single A1 presentation sheet by the deadline. An international jury reviews all entries; the top three placings win $2,500, $1,500 and $1,000 respectively plus a certificate and publication, ten honorable mentions

The competition invites architects, students, engineers, product designers and anyone else to design a compact 'tiny house' capped at 300 sq ft of built-up area (floor plates plus wall thickness, excluding open-to-sky spaces, lofts, storage, balconies and terraces), exploring flexible, multi-functional living space with some renewable-energy element -- full off-grid operation isn't required. The house doesn't need to be mobile; a stationary, site-specific design is allowed if justified, and a mobile design can target land, water or another means of movement. It's open worldwide to individuals or teams of up to three, with no professional qualifications required.
