NATIF Funding Support (Hỗ trợ Kinh phí)
Funds Vietnamese technology adopters with non-reimbursable grants for innovation commercialization and research development.
The NATIF Funding Support program (Hỗ trợ Kinh phí) is Vietnam's broadest rolling technology grant, administered by the National Technology Innovation Fund under the Ministry of Science and Technology. It provides partial or full non-refundable grants to enterprises, research institutes, universities, and individuals undertaking technology adoption, transfer, research, and innovation projects that demonstrate real-world sector or community impact in Vietnam. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year via Google Forms, and NATIF commits to completing evaluation and contracting within 60 working days (approximately 12 weeks) of a valid submission.
Priority sectors span agriculture, health, energy, environment, and new materials, with no technology-area exclusions specified in the program documentation. Both for-profit companies and non-profit or public entities are eligible; individual researchers are also eligible. Projects must demonstrate high feasibility, and the applying team must possess relevant professional capacity and experience. Funding covers direct project costs either partially or fully, with no published co-funding percentage requirement; disbursement follows project milestones in line with contract terms. Award amounts and total pool size are not published in NATIF's program pages, and all financial terms are denominated in Vietnamese Dong.
The program operates continuously — there is no annual cycle or hard deadline. Applications are submitted via Google Forms, the same form used for the Innovation Support (Hỗ trợ đổi mới sáng tạo) stream. To maximize evaluation scores, applicants should document measurable impact metrics, demonstrate team credentials with specific project-relevant experience, and prepare a milestone-structured budget aligned to verifiable project stages. Scoring criteria include project feasibility, team capability, and expected socioeconomic impact, though no numerical weights are published for this program.
