DIFC FinTech Hive Accelerator Programme
Provides startup support for fintech and legal technology ventures across the Middle East and Africa.
The DIFC FinTech Hive Accelerator Programme is the early-stage cohort offer under DIFC FinTech Hive, built for startups in fintech, insurtech, regtech, wealthtech, and Islamic fintech that are targeting the MEASA region. It is a 12-week annual accelerator with a cash award attached, but the real value sits in the DFSA sandbox access, mentor network, and introductions into Dubai’s financial ecosystem. Each selected startup receives $20,000 in non-equity cash. The programme has operated since 2017, accepts a small share of applicants, and has grown from an inaugural cohort of 11 to much larger intakes in later years. The audience is clearly commercial: for-profit startups with early traction and a workable product, rather than universities, nonprofits, or solo applicants. The selection logic favors companies that already have momentum and can use the cohort to sharpen distribution, regulation, and regional partnerships. Startups that can show a credible product and a believable route into financial institutions tend to fit best, because the programme is built around access to decision-makers as much as around the cash itself. For founders in the right sectors, it is a practical entry point into the Dubai financial market rather than a generic startup grant.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
