DIFC FinTech Hive
Supports fintech startup growth in the Gulf region through accelerator programs, regulatory access, and growth-focused cohorts.
DIFC FinTech Hive sits under DIFC Innovation Hub in the Dubai International Financial Centre free zone and serves the MEASA region. It runs the FinTech Accelerator, Scale-Up Programme, AccelerateHER, and AI Transformation, with a focus on fintech, insurtech, regtech, wealthtech, Islamic fintech, and adjacent financial-infrastructure products.
The accelerator gives selected startups $20,000 in non-equity cash, access to the DFSA regulatory sandbox, and a network of more than 500 financial institutions and partners. The Scale-Up Programme targets post-Series A companies with a repeatable model, while AccelerateHER and AI Transformation broaden the funnel across women founders and corporate use cases. Alumni have raised more than $600 million since launch in 2017, and the application acceptance rate sits around 6.4%.
This is a competitive accelerator rather than a broad grantmaker. Teams fit best when they already have a live product, a clear route into banks or insurers, and a regional use case that can survive partner diligence. The selection history suggests that execution quality and distribution access matter as much as the underlying technology.
