Abu Dhabi SME Champions Programme
Connects Procurement matchmaking connecting Abu Dhabi small and enterprises with public and private sector buyers.
Abu Dhabi SME Champions Programme is Khalifa Fund's procurement-matchmaking channel for SMEs that want buyer access more than capital. It connects companies in Abu Dhabi with public and private sector purchasers, and it sits alongside the Fund's financing products rather than replacing them. In 2024 it facilitated more than AED 672 million in procurement deals across more than 650 transactions, which makes it one of the Fund's clearest market-access tools. The service package is broader than a simple referral desk. SMEs can get procurement contract access, business consulting, financial assistance referrals, training workshops, and buyer networking. It is not a cash program, and the value comes from pipeline access and commercial introductions rather than from a direct payout. The programme is therefore most relevant to firms with a saleable offer and the capacity to fulfill contracts. The best fit is a UAE-based SME that can serve institutional buyers, already understands procurement requirements, and needs a route into larger buyers in Abu Dhabi. For companies that are not yet ready for debt or prize competition, the programme can still create traction by building references, opening conversations, and turning operational credibility into paid work.
