Australian Heritage Grants

Supports conservation and public engagement for heritage-listed places across Australia.

Australian Heritage Grants is a federal Australia programme that uses AUD $5.3 million per year to support conservation, management, and public engagement for sites on the National Heritage List. The programme covers places with natural, Indigenous, or historic heritage value and is administered for DCCEEW through the Department of Industry, Science and Resources Business Grants Hub. Applications are routed through business.gov.au. Since 2018-19 the programme has run annual rounds; Round 8 closed in December 2025 and Round 9 is planned for late 2026. Eligible projects include conservation, site maintenance, improved management and access, and stronger community understanding of heritage values at qualifying places.
