$1,000 SafeWork Small Business Rebate

SafeWork NSW's rolling rebate reimburses small businesses up to $1,000 for eligible workplace health and safety items, provided the applicant first completes a SafeWork NSW education activity within the previous 12 months. Purchases must also be dated within 12 months of application. The program has run continuously since October 2018. Charities and not-for-profits with 1–50 FTE are eligible alongside for-profit businesses and sole traders with 0–50 FTE. Government departments, voluntary associations, subsidiaries of larger businesses (over 50 employees), and organisations that received this rebate in the past five years are excluded. Payment of approved claims may take up to 8 weeks.
