Transforming Queensland Manufacturing Grants Program
Supports Matched Grants help Queensland manufacturers invest in productivity exports and reshoring.
The Transforming Queensland Manufacturing Grants Program (TQMGP) delivers $79.1 million over three years across six competitive rounds (~$12–13M per round, every six months). Grants of $100,000 to $1,500,000 are awarded on a 50:50 matched-funding basis. Half of the total funding is earmarked for regional Queensland manufacturers. Project purposes must align with: export pathways, reshoring/onshoring, productivity/competitiveness, or attracting private investment and creating jobs. Eligible businesses must hold an ABN and be GST-registered, employ 5–200 FTE with at least 5 FTE located in Queensland, derive majority of turnover from manufacturing, and have operated continuously in Queensland for at least three years. Administered by the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development (NRMMRRD). This program replaces the legacy Made in Queensland and Boosting Local Manufacturing programs.
