Grant for Participation in Foreign Trade Fair / Niche Event (Subsidie voor Deelname aan Buitenlandse Beurs / Niche-Event)
Supports subsidy covering trade show booth costs or niche event participation fees for Flemish companies.
Subsidie voor Deelname aan Buitenlandse Beurs / Niche-Event helps Flemish SMEs, business organizations, and chambers of commerce take part in trade shows and niche events outside Belgium. FIT uses it to lower the cost of visible market development when a company needs presence rather than a desk study or a general export subsidy. For trade shows, FIT covers 50% of booth rental costs up to EUR 5,000, or 75% up to EUR 7,500 for first-time applicants. For niche-events, it pays a flat EUR 2,500 or EUR 3,750 for first-time participants. Travel and accommodation outside the European Economic Area are also reimbursed at FIT forfait rates at the same standard or enhanced share. Applications go through MyFIT at least seven calendar days before the event, and FIT targets a decision within 60 days. The program also carries a cross-program cap of four FIT subsidy awards per applicant per calendar year, and funded materials must show FIT's branding. It suits applicants whose sales work depends on a visible presence and who can document participation cleanly.
