BNDES Mais Inovação (More Innovation)
Offers concessional financing in Brazil to modernize digital capabilities and strengthen innovation in enterprises.
BNDES Mais Inovação is BNDES's rolling financing program for innovation and digitalisation, funded with FAT resources at the Referential Rate under Law 14.592/2023. It is a loan product, not a grant, and it sits under the same development bank that finances long-term investment across Brazil. The program is split into five subprograms covering direct and indirect financing for R&D and innovation, Industry 4.0 equipment, digital transformation, PD&I centers, and innovative goods tied to the Lei de Informática. Ticket sizes start at R$10 million in the North and Northeast and at R$20 million elsewhere for direct innovation finance, rise to R$50 million for the technology-diffusion line, and are capped at R$300 million a year per economic group for the main innovation and innovative-goods routes. It also sets annual client caps of R$50 million for Difusão Tecnológica and R$15 million for Investimento Automático. The program is built for Brazilian for-profit companies that need sizeable capital for innovation assets, industrial digitisation, or new technical capacity. Applications move through BNDES's Canal MPME rather than a public competition, so fit depends more on financing capacity and project scale than on a one-off grant deadline. It is the clearest route in the BNDES stack for companies seeking structured debt finance for innovation.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
