International Innovation Grant (IIG)
Funds innovation-focused cancer-control projects through nonprofits and public bodies in lower-income regions.
Conquer Cancer — The ASCO Foundation’s International Innovation Grant (IIG) is a global cancer-control grant for nonprofit organizations and government agencies in low- and middle-income countries. It supports novel projects that can reduce cancer burden locally and that may transfer to other LMIC settings. The award provides up to $20,000 over one year and pays the grantee organization directly. Applicants move through a two-step process, beginning with a letter of intent and then an invitation to submit a full proposal. In 2026 the program also offered a cancer prevention track funded with the Prevent Cancer Foundation. The strongest applications come from organizations that are already operating in an LMIC, have been in place for at least a year, and can show that the principal investigator is a citizen or permanent resident of that country and affiliated with the applicant institution. It fits small, practical interventions, pilot projects, or implementation work rather than large clinical studies.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
