CORFO Join Innovation (Súmate Innovar)

CORFO's Súmate Innovar program sits under Corporación de Fomento de la Producción and is delivered through regional Comités de Desarrollo Productivo Regional. It supports established Chilean SMEs that want to solve productivity and competitiveness problems with innovation projects tailored to their own region. The subsidy can reach CLP 10,000,000. Co-financing is tiered by company size: micro and small firms can receive up to 80 percent, medium firms up to 70 percent, and large firms up to 40 percent. Eligible businesses must have operated for at least 24 months, use first-category tax status, and show sales income over the prior 24 months. Supporting entities can join the project, and higher-education institutions appear in that role rather than as lead applicants. The fit is strongest where a company can describe a concrete operational pain point and show why the solution matters to a specific Chilean region. Applicants do better when the project is grounded in an existing business, the collaboration is credible, and the financing ask matches the scale of the firm.
