Súmate Innovar — La Araucanía (Join & Innovate)

Supports small businesses in Chile's La Araucanía region with regional innovation subsidies for commercialization.

Súmate Innovar La Araucanía 2026 is a regional non-refundable subsidy program administered by the Comité de Desarrollo Productivo Regional de La Araucanía (CDPR) under CORFO's regional development framework. The maximum subsidy per project is CLP 10,000,000, with co-financing rates scaled by company size: micro and small enterprises (annual sales up to 25,000 UF) receive up to 80%; medium enterprises (25,000–100,000 UF) receive up to 70%; and large enterprises (over 100,000 UF) receive up to 40%. The call opened May 26, 2026 and closes July 7, 2026 at 3:00 PM. Applications are submitted through the CDPR La Araucanía, not through CORFO directly.

Eligibility requires that the business — either a legally constituted Chilean entity or a natural person aged 18 or older — has operated for a minimum of 24 months in first-category (commercial) tax status and can demonstrate sales income within those 24 months preceding the application. Pre-revenue businesses are excluded. Universities and research organizations may participate only as collaborating entities (entidades colaboradoras) supporting the primary applicant, not as grant recipients themselves. The program funds innovative solutions addressing productivity and competitiveness challenges, and projects are executed in collaboration with supporting entities within the La Araucanía region.

Súmate Innovar is the primary CORFO-backed regional innovation instrument for established small businesses in La Araucanía. The 80%/70% subsidy rate for micro and small enterprises provides strong leverage for regional SMEs with limited capital. The 24-month operating history requirement and mandatory demonstrated sales distinguish this instrument from early-stage calls — it targets viable, trading businesses seeking to innovate rather than startups proving a concept. Applicants should apply through the CDPR La Araucanía portal and clearly identify a qualifying collaborating entity, as CORFO scoring weights the quality of the collaboration network.
