Google for Startups Cloud Program's Scale tier is the larger in-kind package for equity-funded startups in the US. It covers startups from pre-seed through Series A and can reach $200,000 in Google Cloud credits over two years, making it the main growth-stage route in Google's startup support line. Year one covers 100% of eligible usage up to $100,000, and year two covers 20% up to another $100,000. The package also includes $12,000 in Enhanced Support credits, a Startup Success Manager, co-marketing opportunities, and Google Maps credits. Applicants must be for-profit, under ten years old, and already have closed qualifying equity funding; government grants, prize money, crowdfunding, angel money, and friends-and-family capital do not qualify. This tier fits teams that have already raised institutional capital and now need predictable infrastructure spend, stronger support, and a public cloud partner that can scale with them. The strongest applications show a real product, a clear path to growth, and enough traction to justify a larger credit package. The route stays rolling and in kind, so the practical test is whether the company is past the hobby stage and ready to use cloud spend as operating leverage.
