Operational Programme Just Transition (OPST)
Funds economic transition for coal-affected Czech regions through the Operational Programme Just Transition.
Operational Programme Just Transition (OPST) covers the period 2021–2027 (with eligibility through 2029) and holds 42.7 billion CZK in total (41 billion CZK to regions after technical assistance deduction), funded by the EU Just Transition Fund. It targets the three Czech regions dependent on coal — Karlovy Vary, Ústà nad Labem, and Moravian-Silesian — to support their economic and social transition away from fossil fuels. SFŽP is the intermediary body; the Managing Authority is the Ministry of Environment. Three project mechanisms operate: strategic projects, thematic calls, and group projects. Themes include SME development, research, digitisation, renewable energy, landscape restoration, worker retraining, and circular economy.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
