DELTA 2 Programme
Supports Czech enterprises and research organizations in international applied research partnerships outside the European Economic Area.
DELTA 2 Programme was TA CR's international applied research route for Czech enterprises and research organisations working with foreign partners outside the European Economic Area. It followed the original DELTA programme and sat under the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic as a wound-down call series that ran from 2019 to 2023. The programme covered bilateral and multilateral cooperation, so the public value came from cross-border R&D rather than a purely domestic grant line. The programme carried total expenditure of CZK 1,656 million, of which TA CR's state-budget share was CZK 1,225 million, and projects ran for 36 months on average. The structured record places aid intensity around 74%, with Czech entities eligible to apply through consortia that brought in foreign agencies or partners. That made DELTA 2 a long-horizon route for teams that needed an international R&D frame and could support the coordination burden that comes with it. The strongest fit was a Czech lead with an applied research agenda that needed a foreign counterpart and enough maturity to survive a multi-year project. Five calls were opened over the life of the programme, and the final results were announced in November 2023, so applicants now need to look to successor international cooperation routes rather than DELTA 2 itself.
