AI Skills & Adoption is a call run by DIGITAL, Canada's Global Innovation Cluster for digital technology, that co-invests in company-led consortium projects to grow Canada's AI talent pool and speed up adoption of AI. The money comes from the Commercialization Pillar of the federal Pan-Canadian AI Strategy. DIGITAL co-invests up to $5 million across the call and expects this to unlock at least $10 million of total new investment, so applicants bring matching funds. Projects are led by companies, usually with partners, and only qualified applicants are invited to submit a Full Project Proposal.
