DIGITAL Technology Supercluster is an industry-led, Vancouver-based not-for-profit cluster within Canada's Global Innovation Clusters program. It co-funds collaborative technology R&D with federal support through ISED, and the record places it among Canada's five national clusters with public investment that its own reporting says has driven more than CAD 4 billion in GDP growth.

Its portfolio spans nine cooperative-agreement programs across health, natural resources, advanced manufacturing, housing, workforce development, AI skills adoption, genomics commercialization, mining and energy, and quantum commercialization. Current streams run from Technology Leadership and the two Horizon AI tracks to Future of Mining & Energy, Commercialization of Genomics Innovation, Housing Production Capacity, CareerTech, AI Skills & Adoption, and Quantum Commercialization. The model is consortium-first: companies, SMEs, post-secondary institutions, and not-for-profits work together rather than applying as lone firms.

As of May 2026, intake windows were closed and the portfolio was effectively committed for the current federal cycle. DIGITAL is strongest for partners that can assemble a credible team around a themed challenge and push a project toward adoption or commercialization, using matched co-investment rather than open-ended subsidy.
