EUopSTART

Supports Danish entities preparing Horizon Europe and European Defence Fund applications with proposal writing assistance.

EUopSTART is Denmark's proposal-preparation grant scheme for companies and approved technology service organisations preparing Horizon Europe or European Defence Fund applications. It sits under the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science through UFSN and is built to increase Danish participation in European research and innovation. The scheme covers up to 50 percent of eligible preparation costs, including salary billed at DKK 600 per hour, travel and consultancy. Consortium coordinators can apply for up to DKK 150,000 for a full proposal, while partners and single applicants can apply for up to DKK 75,000. Applications are handled through e-grant, and the 2026 calendar has four cut-offs in February, May, August and November. EUopSTART is strongest for Danish teams that already know which Horizon Europe or EDF call they want to pursue and need help turning that plan into a compliant application. Eligibility is limited to Denmark-based applicants, state-aid limits apply, and the scheme expects the proposal work to finish within the call window rather than serve as open-ended project finance.

Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
