OPU — Work Placements Abroad (Oplæring i udlandet)
Supports Danish vocational students completing traineeships abroad as part of practical education.
The OPU programme (Oplæring i udlandet — Work Placements Abroad) furthers internationalisation in vocational education by enabling Danish apprentices and trainees to complete part or all of their traineeship abroad as part of their vocational qualification. Every year approximately 1,500 students participate; more than 40% come from commercial upper secondary backgrounds. Application is rolling, via contact with the responsible advisor at UFSN. No specific annual deadline is published on the English page.
