My Project — My Start (Graduation Projects Program)
Funds Egyptian final-year university students creating practical technology projects for graduation with industry relevance.
My Project - My Start is ASRT's graduation-project program for final-year students at Egyptian universities. It sits inside the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology's broader role as a state academy for science and innovation, and it is aimed at practical-college projects that can become working prototypes. The program has run for 11 consecutive years and is one of the academy's most visible student-facing routes. The scale is substantial: ASRT says the program has funded more than 4,800 graduation projects for more than 60,000 students, with cumulative support above 165 million EGP. The 2024/25 cycle highlighted cybersecurity, animation, AI, quantum computing, space sciences, fintech, visual identity, green economy, renewable energy, and biotechnology. That mix shows a clear tilt toward applied technology rather than pure academic research. Applications are organized through governorate challenges, technological-university projects, cluster projects, and institution-specific tracks. The best fit is a final-year team that already has a defined build and can use ASRT support to turn a capstone into something closer to a demonstrable product.
