Egyptian-Spanish IT Innovation Program (ESITIP)
Provides Bilateral science and innovation grant for Egyptian Spanish company consortia in IT and electronics.
ESITIP is a bilateral R&D grant run by ITIDA and Spain's CDTI for Egyptian and Spanish companies working together in IT and electronics. It was launched in 2016 and sits inside a cross-border cooperation model in which each country funds its own national participants. On the Egyptian side, the program supports Product Development Projects for up to two years at up to EGP 3 million and Applied Research Projects at up to EGP 1.5 million. A further EGP 250,000 can be added for IC fabrication and circuit prototyping. Each consortium must include at least one ITIDA-registered Egyptian ICT private company and one Spanish private company, while universities and research institutes may join on a self-funded basis. The program suits teams that need an international partner to move an ICT or electronics idea into a jointly developed product. Applicants do best when the consortium is tight, the technical work is clearly split between the national partners, and the project can justify both applied research and development spending. The route is formal, annual, and built for companies that are already able to operate across two funding systems.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
