Export IT Rebate Program

ITIDA's Export IT Rebate Program is Egypt's flagship cash-back support for ICT exporters. It has run since 2010, spans more than 15 rounds, and has supported more than 370 companies as they sell software and IT services abroad. The rebate is paid in EGP against foreign-currency export proceeds. Micro companies with annual revenue up to EGP 2 million can receive up to 35 percent, small companies up to 25 percent, and medium companies up to 10 percent, with extra uplifts for activity outside Cairo, Giza, and Alexandria and for year-on-year export growth. The ceiling is EGP 2.5 million per company per cycle, and eligible firms must be majority Egyptian-owned, headquartered in Egypt, and active in ICT services, embedded software, or IT-enabled services. The program rewards export scale and geographic spread rather than research milestones. Companies that can document foreign receipts, steady growth, and a clear fit with the revenue bands are the best match, and the round cadence is annual with the most recent round opened in September 2025 and closed on October 16, 2025.
