The Export IT Rebate Program is the flagship export-support instrument of Egypt's Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), launched in 2010 and now in its fifteenth round. The program provides a direct cash rebate on ICT export proceeds for Egyptian companies, rewarding growth in international software and IT-enabled services sales. Over 370 companies have received support across the first fourteen rounds, making it the most widely used ITIDA incentive for Egyptian technology exporters.
Eligibility requires more than 50% Egyptian ownership, headquarters in Egypt, and annual revenue at or below 150 million EGP. The rebate rate varies by company size: micro companies with revenue up to 2 million EGP receive up to 35% of export proceeds; small companies (2–20 million EGP) receive up to 25%; and medium companies (20–150 million EGP) receive up to 10%. Companies operating outside Cairo, Giza, and Alexandria receive an additional 10% bonus, and companies that achieve year-on-year export growth earn a further 5% bonus. The maximum rebate per company per round is capped at 2.5 million EGP regardless of size class or bonuses earned. Round 15 accepted registrations from September 1, 2025, with a final deadline of October 16, 2025.
Since the program runs annual rounds, Round 16 is expected to be announced around mid-2026. Companies preparing to apply should ensure they maintain clean ITIDA registration, document export revenues in foreign currency, and note that the rebate is paid in EGP against foreign-currency export proceeds. Inquiry and support are available at exportdev@itida.gov.eg or via the ITIDA hotline 16CIT (16248). ICT service firms, embedded software developers, and IT-enabled services companies with demonstrable export activity are the primary beneficiaries.
Cash rebate of 10–35% on export proceeds for Egyptian ICT and IT-enabled services companies with annual revenue up to 150M EGP, rewarding growth in international software and services sales.
