ICEX Vives is ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones' placement programme for young Spanish professionals at foreign subsidiaries of Spanish companies. It sits alongside the agency's wider talent and internationalisation offers, but this route is built around company-hosted internships rather than classroom training. The current 2021-2025 cycle carries a €57.91 million budget. Placements last six to twelve months and can extend by up to another year when visa conditions allow. ICEX covers 100% of practice costs, including medical insurance and travel assistance, so participating companies carry no direct placement cost. Companies register on a rolling basis with no fixed deadline. The fit is strongest for Spanish businesses with international commercial or production activity, or a clear expansion plan abroad, that want to place young staff in foreign subsidiaries. Because the programme is administered through the ICEX Vives portal and not a competition with a single annual cut-off, applicants usually succeed by having the company relationship and overseas placement plan ready before registration.
