Proyectos de Investigación Internacionales (PII) is AEI's bilateral collaboration grant under the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. It supports Spanish institutions working with foreign counterparts on scientific and technical knowledge generation, and the 2026 call carries a budget of €4,500,000. The call ran from 17 April to 19 May 2026 and is structured as competitive grant funding for Spanish research organisations and universities. Individuals and private companies are not eligible, while the Spanish entity must be part of the collaboration. The program is annual, with a 2027 cycle expected.
