EIT Health RIS Innovation Call
Supports proof concept grants for healthcare innovations in Central, Eastern, and Southern countries.
The EIT Health RIS Innovation Call sits under EIT Health and targets healthcare proof-of-concept projects in 13 Regional Innovation Scheme countries: Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Each selected project receives โฌ75,000, with thematic priorities around brain and mental health, infectious diseases, healthier lives, and real-world data. The funding is designed for consortia rather than single applicants. Each country team needs at least two legal partners, one from business and one from academia, research, or healthcare. The record allows for-profits, nonprofits, universities, and research organisations, but excludes individuals. Mobile apps that are not integrated into a broader product are ineligible, and the call is annual. The strongest submissions are locally anchored collaborations with a clear healthcare use case and a credible route to implementation in a RIS country. The programme rewards partners that can combine commercial intent with institutional access, since the structure asks for cross-sector teamwork and a defined practical problem rather than a stand-alone concept. Teams with a well-scoped proof of concept and a committed partner mix should be the best fit.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
