EIC Transition (via ISERD) — Horizon Europe
Funds EU grants to take previously EU-funded research results from lab to market development stage to development stage one.
EIC Transition via ISERD helps teams move a previously funded EU result from proof of concept into validation in a relevant environment. It is a follow-on route for work that already came out of Pathfinder, ERC Proof of Concept, Horizon Europe Pillar 2 RIA, FET Open, or EDF funding. The grant can reach €2.5 million and covers 100% of eligible costs plus 25% overhead. Applicants can apply as a single legal entity or as small consortia of two to five entities, and the technical window sits around TRL 3 to 6. The programme runs once a year with a September deadline cadence; the 2025 deadline was 17 September 2025, and the 2026 call is expected in September. The proposals that fit best already have a credible market case, identified competitors, and a team that spans technology, IP, and business. ISERD advises Israeli applicants, but the EU programme pays the award, so the logic has to stand on its own in Brussels.
