Solvers submit a written proposal in one of two categories -- novel designs and innovative solutions, or existing technologies and solutions -- each with its own award pool, plus a separate award for scouts who refer a suitable partner. Winners must transfer non-exclusive IP rights in their solution to IRC in exchange for the award; unawarded proposals keep full rights.
