Approved applicants receive the money in two installments paid into their bank account: 60% upfront to set up a shop or buy equipment and materials, then the remaining 40% once a district officer inspects the business and confirms it is running. The District Officer, Social Justice and Empowerment Department, reviews applications and must give approval within one month.
