Voucher per consulenza in innovazione is MIMIT's support route for SMEs and enterprise networks that want to bring in an external innovation manager for digital and Industria 4.0 transformation. It sits within the Piano Impresa 4.0 family and is a de minimis contribution rather than a loan or equity instrument. The support covered micro, small and medium enterprises, plus networks of at least three SMEs, for a consulting engagement lasting at least nine months. The maximum support reached €40,000 for micro and small firms and €25,000 for medium firms, while SME networks could reach €80,000, with support rates varying by applicant type. The second sportello exhausted its funds and closed on 29 November 2023, so there is no active submission window. The best fit was a company that needed specialist management help to adopt analytics, cloud, cyber-security, prototyping, robotics, additive manufacturing, IoT or digital marketing. Because the scheme is wound down, the useful public-facing framing is historical: it shows the kinds of innovation-management costs Italy was willing to subsidise, but it is not a live route for new applications. Any applicant now would need to look to a different MIMIT instrument.
