Hustler Fund
Supports the Kenya Hustler Fund as a state-backed digital micro-credit route for small borrowers, groups, and micro businesses needing quick capital.
Hustler Fund sits under Kenya's Financial Inclusion Fund and is the state's digital microcredit line for personal borrowers, groups, and small businesses. The official site launched the product in November 2022 and routes access through USSD *254# on Safaricom, Telkom, and Airtel, with mobile-money disbursement. The published terms place the loan range between KES 500 and KES 3 million, with rolling access and an 8% annual rate in public reporting. Borrowers do not need a payslip, title deed, or logbook; the system relies on credit history, and 5% of each borrowing is set aside as savings under the program's public terms. That makes Hustler Fund a retail credit product rather than a grant route. It is strongest for Kenyan borrowers who need very small, fast, unsecured working capital and can keep a clean repayment record, especially when they fit the personal, group, or bridge-loan products that the program publishes today.
