AgriBiz Programme
Runs EU and DANIDA-funded enterprise support programme for rural youth and women in Kenyan agricultural value chains.
AgriBiz is an EU and Royal Danish Embassy (DANIDA)-funded programme delivered by KCIC, targeting rural and peri-urban youth and women who are underemployed or lack the resources to create viable sustainable agribusinesses in Kenya. The programme operates through county hubs in Kiambu, Machakos, and Kilifi, providing incubation, technical assistance, and access to finance. Total financial support portfolio is reported as 160 million KES. The programme explicitly addresses four barriers faced by youth and women entrepreneurs: negative perceptions of agriculture, lack of business-design capacity, limited land and natural resource access, and insufficient financial access. Applications are submitted online; the programme contact is agribiz@kenyacic.org. A multi-country variant (Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana, Nigeria) is referenced in secondary sources as offering approximately $30,000 grants per youth-led enterprise, but this figure cannot be confirmed as the per-enterprise amount for the Kenya-only AgriBiz instance.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
