Lithuanian Research Council Researcher Project

Funds Lithuanian Research Council Researcher Project to support Lithuanian researchers with project grants across academic priorities.

The Lithuanian Research Council Researcher Project programme is the council's flagship bottom-up research grant route. It sits under the Research Council of Lithuania and funds project proposals from researchers or research groups across humanities and social sciences, as well as natural sciences, technology, medical and health sciences, and agricultural sciences. Calls are annual and are opened through the LMTSIS system when announced. The award band is roughly EUR 100,000 to EUR 300,000 over three years, and the eligible hosts are Lithuanian research and study institutions. The programme is competitive and peer reviewed, with Lithuanian and international experts judging significance, originality, and novelty. It suits principal investigators who can frame a clear research question, a credible workplan, and an institutional setup that can carry the project through the full term. The panel split also means humanities and social science applications are read alongside a different bench from the natural science, technology, medical, and agricultural sciences track.
