Export Support (Atbalsts eksportam)
Provides reimbursement support for Latvian small and enterprises participating in trade fairs missions and export-development activities.
LIAA's Export Support programme backs Latvian SMEs that are trying to build visibility and access abroad. It is less about product development than about placing companies in foreign market channels, trade fairs, missions, and official business settings, which makes it a practical route for firms that already have something to sell. The programme sits comfortably inside LIAA's wider export-promotion mandate. The programme runs five continuously open sub-instruments: national stand participation at international trade fairs, group trade mission participation, high-level official visit participation, bespoke export support action plans, and co-financing for international sports events and exhibitions held in Latvia. Applications are made ahead of each event or mission, and the support is generally reimbursement-style and de minimis in character. The rolling structure means the timing of a business event matters as much as the idea itself. The best fit is a company that can use a trade fair or mission to test buyers, build a distributor network, or attach itself to a larger export-facing delegation. Because the route stays open continuously, the companies that benefit most are the ones that can prepare quickly, choose the right sub-instrument, and connect the trip or event to a clear commercial objective.
