KIEM HighTech

KIEM HighTech sits under Holland High Tech / Topsector HTSM and is delivered with Regieorgaan SIA. It funds one-year exploratory collaborations between a research organisation and at least two field partners, including at least one Dutch SME, so the programme is aimed at early joint exploration rather than a long development runway. The scheme is a grant and uses two submission windows a year, with first-come, first-served handling inside each round. It is organised around ten HTSM innovation domains, including circular economy, sustainable mobility, energy materials, imaging technologies, mechatronics and optomechatronics, optical systems and integrated photonics, quantum technologies, semiconductor technologies, smart industry, and systems engineering. The application path runs through the Regieorgaan SIA portal, and the research organisation must lead the consortium. The strongest applications are likely to be compact, cross-disciplinary projects where the SME partner has a clear role and the collaboration is exploratory enough to fit a one-year timetable, because the call is designed for quick testing, shared learning, and disciplined partner coordination.
