Innovation Norway Environmental Technology Scheme (Miljøteknologiordningen)
Funds Norwegian companies piloting and demonstrating innovative environmental technology solutions.
Innovation Norway's Environmental Technology Scheme supports companies that develop, pilot-test, and demonstrate new environmental technology in Norway. The programme is meant for products or processes that are genuinely innovative and aimed at a significant environmental problem, and it remains active even after a roughly NOK 72 million reduction in the 2026 budget. The minimum grant is NOK 1 million, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants must be for-profit companies registered and operating in Norway; universities, research organisations, non-profits, and individuals are not eligible. The scheme is built around Norwegian-language applications and GBER plus ESA state-aid compliance. This is a de-risking instrument for firms that need help moving from development into pilot and demonstration work. The strongest fit is a company with a concrete environmental problem, a novel solution, and a credible path to deploy in the Norwegian market. Because the programme is tied to state-aid rules and a rolling intake, applicants succeed when the project is technically specific, commercially clear, and ready for external review.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
