Grønn plattform (Green Platform)

Grønn plattform is a multi-agency Norwegian programme under Innovation Norway, run with the Research Council of Norway and Siva. It backs research- and innovation-driven green transition projects in Norwegian industry, and the current cycle is designed for new three-year projects starting early 2027. The programme sits at the higher end of the Norwegian funding landscape and is meant for larger collaborative efforts rather than isolated company projects. Awards run from NOK 30 million to NOK 80 million per project, with NOK 644.5 million available in the current round. The process has two stages, beginning with a concept sketch and then a full application, and only consortium applicants can apply. That structure makes the programme feel more like a coordinated mission than a standard open grant call. The programme suits collaborations that already have a shared industrial problem, a research component, and the organisational strength to run as a consortium. The delivery model is deliberately joint, with oversight from multiple public agencies and state-aid registration under Norwegian rules. Applicants need a strong partnership story, a credible work plan, and enough scale to justify a large multi-year award.
