Offers Crown-backed equity co-investment early-stage NZ tech start-ups seed proof-of-concept stage.
Aspire is NZGCP's direct equity co-investment vehicle, targeting early-stage New Zealand technology companies from proof-of-concept through early expansion. Established in 2006 (as SCIF) and rebranded Aspire in 2020. Aspire has backed 260+ companies; 150 are currently active. Aspire always co-invests alongside a private lead investor and will not compete for deals. Ticket sizes NZD 50-100k (proof of concept) to NZD 250-500k (seed). This is an equity instrument only.
