Hub Azul — PRR C10-i01 Blue Infrastructure Network

Hub Azul is Portugal's PRR Component 10 (Sea) Investment line i01 — a pre-allocated infrastructure delivery program funding nine blue-economy innovation polos across Portuguese port cities and research institutions. The nine Avisos-Convite issued in January–May 2022 went to named port operators, IPMA (oceanographic institute), and education partners in Lisbon, Oeiras, Peniche, Aveiro, Porto/Leixões (×2), Algarve, and the Blue Hub School concept. The external brand is https://hubazul.pt/. This was an invitation-only, pre-designated beneficiary program — not open to general competition. Physical delivery inspections occurred across May 2024, with the Hub Azul management council holding its 6th strategic meeting in October 2024. The program is operationally complete; infrastructure has been delivered.
